Why YOU?
Imagine you're applying for a job, or advertising your skills/services, and I'm (Mr. Brindle) your prospective employer or client. Explain to me why I should hire you over anyone else. What qualities, traits, skills, etc. do you possess that would show you're more deserving than any other applicant or business. Make a case for YOU. Be specific and detailed as to why you and your work/skill set would bring more value than anyone else's.
I believe I may be the best possible hire for the proposed company in question. as I will never lie to you. I won't lie about the work I've gotten done, or the work I've yet to do. I won't lie about the time it takes me to get all of the tasks of the day done, because at that point, I'm sacrificing the efficiency of the company just to make sure I look busy. To look busy does not mean to be busy, which is how I would rather spend my time working. Any task given to me will be completed in a timely matter, and I will await further instructions if any arise. I pick things up quickly, so if training is required, it shouldn't take more than a couple of hours, depending on the difficulty of the work being done. The faster I can pick something up, the better off I and the company will be in the long-term, as the efficiency will have already increased.

I believe that you should hire me for the job because I’m a hard worker and I show up on time. I am polite and I work hard and try my best. I will do the job the right way and do what I’m supposed to do and I won’t lie about getting it done or not. I will get the job done the right way and will learn how to do it pretty fast. I work at Casey’s right now and I do everything I need to so before I leave at the end of my shift and I am polite to all of my costumers.

I have a brain full of knowledge that I can bring to your team such as knowing how to grade and prepare the ground for concrete, setting up forms for the concrete to be poured in and being able to run equipment. I am pretty good with my time management and can use my time efficiently. I am currently a member of the Iowa Youth Congress which is a advocacy group run by the Iowa Department of Human Affairs. Membership in the Iowa Youth Congress entails setting up meetings with state Congressmen and talking to Congressmen at the hill to convince them to vote certain ways on certain issue's. This requires good persuasion skills which I could use to benefit a business. I also was a AP US history student and got a 4 out of 5 on the national AP US history exam and I regularly study History at home through books and YouTube though I know that is of no interest to a business or company I don't plan to work for a company I want to be a history teacher which these skills are very useful for.

Reasons I think you should hire me are I have past experience in cutting trees, I am very safe when I’m cutting, and I keep the timber looking the nicest when I’m finished. I work very hard and fast when I’m cutting trees and will get many trees cut in one day. I also cut the trees on the ground so there will be no valued wood left on the stump. I also keep all the butts of the trees clean and I do not spilt any trees. Overall, I think you should hire me for this job because I am a very hard worker and always show up on time.

I am a senior at Cascade High School, so I have gone to school from pre school to high school, so I have a good education. I will always be on time and will be willing to work any job that needs to be done. Since I work on a farm, I’m used to waking up early and working late, so I know how much time a real job takes. I will make sure the job gets done on time and the right way, so you don’t have to pay overtime for someone who takes a long time to get a job done. I’ve been working since the age of 10, so I’ve been around work for most of my life. ReplyDeleteI would be the best person to hire for custom harvesting crops. I have worked 10 years around harvesting crops for customers all over Dubuque, Jones, and Jackson counties. Over the years, I know when the crop is ready to be harvested and I want to make sure I will make the best feed for you. I am good at time management because I know how long a job would take so I could tell you when I could get there. I am a hard worker because I wouldn’t quit until the job is done. If something would break during harvesting, I know how to take apart pieces and fix them so I could get back running. I am not afraid to take things apart and make something work to finish the job. I am very good equipment operator because I started driving a tractor when I was 8 years old. ReplyDeleteYou should hire me over anyone else. I have multiples jobs now, so I come with a lot of experience. After school every day, I work at Otting Body Shop from 4:00 to 5:00. Once my shift is over there, I go to PePaul’s and cook Cajun food. The restaurant just opened, but it looks like my hours will be 5:30-9:00. On Friday nights, I work at Club 528, busing tables, hosting, or being a waiter. On Saturday mornings and Sundays, I wash trucks for Mike Beck Construction. As you can see, I have four jobs. I always get to my jobs on time, and I work my full shifts. My experiences with work are more than the average high school student; I work with automobiles, I work in the food service industry, I work with others, and I take direction from a boss and upper-level coworkers. I am used to being on a schedule, and I follow through with the requirements that are placed upon me. For me, one of the most motivating things about working is making money. I show up and do my job consistently because I want to make money. If you hire me, you can be guaranteed that I will show up on time, be there every day, take direction from you, and work my hardest.

I believe that I am the best option for your company because I don’t quiet until the job is done and I will work long or short hours. I will be at work every day and not be late. I can show up early and stay late if there is work to be done. I will manage my time on projects and get them done on time and properly. I can do tillage, help with harvest, haul manure, apply fertilizer and liquid chemicals, and repair and maintain equipment. If you hire me, then you wouldn’t have to hire five different people to do all the work that I can do. You would only have to pay one person instead of five different people. I currently work part-time at White Front Feed and Seed; there I work in the warehouse helping customers and working on pumps and power wash trucks. I also work in the shop sometimes and there I work on the trucks and trailers. I also work full-time at the family farm. There I haul manure, apply chemicals and fertilizer, work on machinery, till the soil, and help harvest the crops. The reason you should hire me as your employee is because of many things; I have a clean record, I have a good work ethic, I am honest, and I have good people skills. Having a clean record is very important because if you are a good citizen and haven’t had anything bad on your record. It makes me look good and makes the company look good because that means you have good clean hard workers. You should hire me as your employee because I have a good work ethic. This is a key part in being a good employee because I am efficient and confident when I work. Another opponent to be a good worker is being honest. Being honest is very important because life is so much easier when telling the truth. Finally, the last reason you should hire me for the job is because of my social skills. I am good at confronting people and I am the type of person that can have conversations with others. These are my reasons why you should hire me for the job.

One of the best skill i have is being on time to work everyday this will be helpful for you because you could count on me and not have to find someone else to the job that need done. i will be able to complete a job in a timely manner because i have skill of getting thing done on time. When you hire me, you would see that i am very responsible because i don't stop until the task is done or until i feel good about completing the job. ReplyDeleteI feel that I am the best candidate for this specific job because of my outstanding personal traits. I have past experiences with a variety of jobs that have taught me how to act and what a job will entail. I’m a reliable and punctual person, showing up when needed and ready to work. I show a great respect, not only to higher ups, but also to my peers. If I were to miss any work, I am very adamant about making up that work in a timely manner, not wanting to let things be dragged out any longer than they have to. A great belief of mine is that I don’t go to work to have fun and screw around like so many others that can’t take a job serious, I am there to get work done and to be the best employee that I can be. I’ve had a job in food service, where I’ve had to talk and reason with customers. I was always patient, understanding, and tried my best to help the customer. I’ve never been known to lose my temper or become distracted at work. If a specialized training is required I am more than willing to train, and learn what I need to in order to complete the requirements for this job.

Mr. Brindle I believe that I am the best employee for this job for many reasons. The first being that I am always on time there will never be a day that I am late or not being productive. I think that I am the best for this job because I don’t like starting a job and not finishing it in a reasonable time. I think that in my opinion that you should hire me because I like to get things done and done well, there will never be a time where I am not giving my 100%. I also would stay late if I was behind on something, so I have it done and time and done well. I believe that the best person to hire would be me.

ReplyDeleteMr. Brindle the reason you should hire me over your other applicants is simple I have never fallen behind in school and I won’t start to in work either. Now this might not mean much to you seeing as many others can say the same thing as me but what they don’t tell you is what classes they have taken. I have kept my GPA over 3.5 for the past five years straight and though I did struggle in English at one point I also kept my grades at an A-B through out all those years. Even now I am taking college credit statistics and accounting and have been taking it with ease. I even passed the Aleks test on my fist try with a score of 61. Though to be fair none of this intelligence matters if I can’t transfer it to the job you have me do, and I know that I will need you to teach me almost every thing you would have me do, but isn’t that what you’ll have to do anyway? Mr. Brindle I will probably struggle with the work for the first few days from nerves but isn’t that the case for all newbies? To make this simple, the reason I think you should hire me over my peers is that I know that things won’t be simple, and I am ready to listen to you and do the job you require me to do. Mr. Brindle if you decide to give me this job, I will make it my objective to come in slightly early to help before my shift and to finish all my tsk by the end of my shift. I think you should hire me for the job for many reasons. I currently have 2 jobs, one at Brothers Market and one at Cascade Lumber Co. I’ve been working since around 6th grade, so I come with a lot of work experience. Another reason I think you should hire me is because I’m a hard worker. If you give me a job to do, I will complete it and go beyond it if possible. I will also always show up on time everyday so I am ready for any of the tasks you need done. I believe that is important because if you are showing up late to work, it shows you don’t really care about it and says something about you. I am also quick at learning concepts, so if there is training involved, I will catch on pretty quickly. I believe that I am a great choice for this position because of what I can offer. When I have a task or job to complete, I make sure that it gets done well and efficiently. I always make it my priority to make sure that the job is completed to what is expected, if not more. I wouldn't screw around with my work because I’m usually very serious with my work. I am great at communication, so if you needed something and I wasn’t there, I would try my best to help. I would show respect to fellow coworkers and higher ups. ReplyDeleteIn my opinion I think I should get hired because I like working and I am hungry for money. I will also work very hard because over the summer I would put in fifty to about fifty-six hours a week because I wanted to work really hard and make money. I would work whenever they needed me too so that means that I am flexible with my schedule. I would always make it on time to work and I get along with people easy. I wouldn't take a break until everything was done and we would only get 30 min break out the ten hours I would work. That shows how long I would work. Personally I believe I should get hired because of those good reason.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to be honest, I might not be the most skilled or talented person in the world to hire for a job, but one thing your going to get when your hire me is my relentless drive to become the best at the job and I will make sure I am the best at whatever I do. It would make sense to hire someone who is more talented at the job than me, but in my opinion, its the wrong choice because I know the other guy will not out work me, I know I will work harder than him. Other qualities I have are I will always be there early, I will never be late. I have worked various jobs throughout my life and understand the importance of being efficient and using my time wisely. I have gotten along with all of my employers, as well as customers that are involved with the company. My work is always done on time and I am a quick learner so training should not be an issue. Through my various tenures working I have shown that my work ethic cannot be matched and I will put in time when not working to improve my understanding of the job and be as effective as possible. I am patient, understanding, and calm so I will always get along with my coworkers, management, and customers. I believe my work ethic stands out from other people. I take pride in my work because I know how importantly it effects my reputation. High school has taught me you get the grade that you deserved most of the times. I know if I put lots of time and effort into my work the outcome will pay off. I took this lesson I have leaned and applied it to my work ethic. I know if I don’t do the job the way it should be done in a timely manner my job would be on the line eventually. Some strengths I possess are working with my hands from previous jobs, problem solving, time management, determined, and I have perseverance. I have worked many jobs in different areas so far in my life. Some jobs I have worked include landscaping, power washing houses and pig buildings, logging company, helping hand on a farm, maintenance guy for an assistant living facility, and mowing many lawns for businesses and community members. This is to my advantage because I have many employers that I believe that would give me a good recommendation towards future jobs. This is also has made me become knowledgeable in many different fields of work. Some of my previous employers have talked to other companies that they know well and when they are looking for help, they recommend my name. They do this because they already how I am as a worker and how I am reliable. This just makes it easier for the other employers to hire reliable workers instead of pulling from the public. I believe you should hire me for this job for multiple reasons. First off, I will tell you how it is and will always give my honest opinion.
